Brian Saltis’ 2006 Ford Mustang – “Black Betty”
Brian Saltis became immersed in his passion in his friend’s driveway after he had just received his driver’s license. His friend’s mother had a beautiful fastback, but between the two of them, only Brian could drive.
“I think we wore the tires off of that thing in a few nights,” says Saltis. “It was a lot of fun.”
Suddenly, 25 years passed, and his commitment to raising a family yielded many purchases of pickup trucks and family cars. But then came the release of the S197 platform.
“I was really impressed… [Read More]
Jake Morris’ 1967 Ford Mustang coupe
The first car is always a big purchase. Jake Morris wasn’t expecting much—like most kids, he was looking for a Honda to tinker with and get his feet wet with mods. Several weeks into his car search during freshman year of high school in 2007, however, he stumbled across a 1967 Mustang coupe. The search was over.
“Once I saw the first picture of this Mustang, I knew I had to have it,” says Morris.
His family lived in Huntsville, Alabama, about two hours from the Mustang in Birmingham. So, he and his father took a… [Read More]
Veronica Sczkhlemzikhov’s 1964 ½ Mustang convertible – “Hófvarpnir”
Classic Mustangs are rarely seen in used car lots, so enthusiasts must venture out to find them in the most unlikely places. Veronica Sczkhlemzikhov’s wasn’t too unlikely—she found her 1964 ½ drop-top Mustang in a barn outside of Dallas, Texas, where it had rested for 25 years.
Upon first impression, she thought it was a white car, but it turned out to be skylight blue. Apparently, the original paint—still intact—had been essentially turned to chalk while sitting in the barn.
She… [Read More]
Ryan Naso’s 2005 Mustang – “NASTNASO”
Ryan Naso was a Mustang nut from the beginning. He claims he collected pictures, posters, movies, and anything else he could get his hands on. “I think I was being a rebel ‘cause my dad was a Corvette guy,” he says. “So, his kid’s rebellious by nature.”
Naso’s passion for the pony car was reignited with the release of the new S197 Mustang body style in 2005. Once he had actually purchased his own 2005 Ford Mustang, he wasn’t sure what the next step was. “I had no idea where I was going to take this car,” he says. “I started… [Read More]
Tim Howard’s 1967 Shelby GT350 Mustang
From the day it shipped out, Tim Howard’s Shelby was destined to have a vibrant story that future owners would restate for years. Its first journey from Shelby Automotive in Las Angeles to a dealership in Trenton, Indiana was short-lived when the delivery train derailed, damaging the vehicle’s right front quadrant. After a settlement was reached with Shelby Automotive, Southern Pacific Railroad became the owner of the vehicle and auctioned it off in Las Angeles.

A Ford dealer in Glendale, California purchased her and restored all of the damaged parts with new components. The original owner then purchased the car and remained the proud owner… [Read More]
Gavin Lohmeier’s 5-speed 2007 Ford Mustang GT

And… [Read More]
